Good news regarding “Sylva Sam”

Check out an excellent post regarding the Confederate memorial in Sylva, North Carolina via Dixie Forever:

“In July 2020, the Sylva Town Commission voted 3-2 to request Jackson County remove or relocate the statue, but on August 4, 2020, county commissioners rejected this by a 4-1 vote. In August 2021, as a ‘compromise,’ the county covered the Confederate flag and the ‘Our Heroes’ inscription with new metal plaques reading ‘E Pluribus Unum’ and stripped away the Confederate identity by rededicating it to honor all Jackson County veterans… In April 2025, Jackson County commissioners removed the ugly ‘compromise’ plaque that had been attached to the front for the past 4 years and restored it to its original condition (as shown).”

New statue of Thomas Jefferson in Jefferson County, Florida

Thomas Jefferson has been one of the victims of the statue genocide that has taken place over the past five years. As such, it’s good news to see a new statue of him being brought into existence. This is exactly what took place in Jefferson County, Florida, where a brand new statue of our third president was unveiled outside the courthouse on July 2nd.

This statue signifies that in at least one small instance, the bullies who think that only people like them should be allowed to be honored, failed to get their way. And that is a beautiful thing, indeed.

You can view a short video clip of the unveiling by Gov. Ron DeSantis below or here, via Fox News:
