Check out a cool video of a reenactment that took place this spring, from Monuments Across Dixie / Dixie Forever. The soldiers met at the Moorefield, West Virginia memorial flag site and marched onward to several locations in Virginia and West Virginia.

Located at Janney Furnace Park in Ohatche, Alabama, the Calhoun County Confederate Memorial is the largest black granite Confederate memorial in the world. You can see a short video of it from Monuments Across Dixie here.

Lee-Jackson Memorial Park has two new monuments, dedicated to the soldiers from North and South Carolina who fought and died in the Shenandoah Valley. The monuments will be officially unveiled in a ceremony this Saturday, October 16. 

The Stonewall Brigade, Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #1296, has been posting updates on their Facebook page. The announcement of the monuments is here, pictures of the clean-up work in preparation for their installation can be found here, pictures of the installation can be found here, pictures of more recent work to beautify the monuments can be found here, and finally a picture of the completed landscaping work can be found here.

I love these new monuments – things like this make me so happy!
