“Sleeping but glorious… dead but victorious”
“We couldn’t tell you who half the people are that come and visit, but they visit peacefully, they read the names of soldiers that have plaques, they read the monuments, they are remembered! If these monuments are left to collect dust in storage they will be forgotten. Valor hasn’t saved its last monument yet! Lest we forget!!”
– Facebook post from Valor Memorial Park
It is a beautiful thing that these monuments can be appreciated, and warriors remembered, that otherwise wouldn’t, thanks to Valor Memorial Park. What they are doing is important and meaningful.
Wonderful work by the Pittsylvania Vindicators SCV Camp 828
